User-Verified Social Telematics Consortium is announced
UPDATE of Jan 20th 2015:
A new updated UVST Consortium page with updated description has been created.
Today Nov 5th 2014, after weeks of intensive work, we are releasing a first late draft of the User Verified Social Telematics Consortium Agreement, which will be “a no-profit association of global private, civil society and public entities, whose mission is to create and sustain a highly-competent and ultimately user-accountable computing standard organization and active ethical expert community – a profitable ecosystem of independent service providers – around the creation and evolution of the world’s most user-trustworthy general-purpose computing service platform.“
It will inherit all rights over the User Verified Social Telematics project from the Open Media Cluster, and define realize and commercialise computing services based on an original socio-technical standard (which may be named “Trustless Computing”).
User Verified Social Telematics aims to become an international leading standard for completely end-2-end computing service, or experience, that achieves unprecedented and constitutionally-meaningful assurance, perceived and actual, in levels of privacy, integrity and authenticity through: (1) extreme lack of the need of trust in anyone or anything, during the entire life-cycle; (2) extreme user-accountability of all organizational processes critically involved in the life-cycle of all critical technological and procedural parts of the computing experience; (3) extreme resource intensity and competency of engineering and auditing deployed, relative to complexity; (4) extreme hardware and software compartmentation.
It will initially be aimed at the fundraising of the 4-8M€ Initial UVST R&D Project over the next 12 months, as well as setting very solid IP and governance terms to best guarantee the long-term basis the full realisation of the potential economic benefits for Members, and considerable positive societal impact.
